The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced they signed free agent David Booth to a one year deal. Loxy!!-Wikimedia CommonsAccording to reporter James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail, David Booth's contract is worth 1.1 million dollars for the year. Booth has struggled the past three years. It lead to his former team, the Vancouver Canucks to use a compliance buyout to buyout his final year of his contract that was worth  over four million dollars per season. The deal is a risk-free deal. Booth's skill is questionable but he can win puck battles and can carry the puck into 'hard areas' on the ice. He has the year to prove himself to the team and hope for a longer contract in the future. Booth contract is $1.1-million.
