Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Joffrey Lupul suffered a broken forearm in Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, according to TSN. Lupul took a shot to the hand from Dion Phaneuf and received a slash from Brooks Orpik at almost the same time, and the injury apparently took place during that sequence. It's unclear how long Lupul will be out of action. He signed a five-year, $26.25 million contract extension on Sunday. He has yet to score a point this season, but he had 25 goals and 42 assists in 66 games last season.
