Six to eight weeks, perhaps? That seems to be the standard period of absence for an NHL player with a broken/fractured forearm. So there's a good chance that's how long the Toronto Maple Leafs will have to manage without top-line forward Joffrey Lupul.  As reported by the Toronto Sun, preliminary X-rays revealed a fracture after Lupul took a shot (from teammate Dion Phaneuf) off the arm during the second period of Wednesday’s 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. We'll get a better sense of the winger's timeline for recovery once he's examined in Toronto.  In the meanwhile, coach Randy Carlyle has some shuffling to do. Clarke MacArthur could fill in on the Leafs' top line with Phil Kessel and center Tyler Bozak. That move would leave the new forward combo of James van Riemsdyk, Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin alone.
